SIBERIAN WELLNESS VOLUNTEERS REMOVED 50 KG OF PLASTIC FROM THAI RIVERS

Thailand marked the start of a new season of Wellness Plogging with a large-scale picking up litter campaign, planning for ongoing activities.

Plastic pollution remains a relevant and urgent issue in Thailand. The ocean repeatedly brings litter to coastal areas, while the country’s waste contributes to ocean pollution. Besides, Thailand serves as a plastic waste importer from developed nations.

In early 2025, the country decisively banned all imports of foreign plastic waste to combat pollution. This significant achievement stems from persistent environmental activism and public environmental concern.

Siberian Wellness, as a global company, stands behind local environmental actions in all operating regions. Partnering with Bangkok Community Help, the Company's volunteers conducted a cleanup event at the estuary of the Chao Phraya River in central Bangkok. A team of over 40 international Company volunteers removed 50 kg of plastic waste from the river.

In addition to river cleanup, volunteers addressed another crucial problem. Using special beneficial bacteria, participants helped reduce harmful bacteria levels in the water. Now, the river is ensured to be a safer water source for the residents of the Klong Toey area.

An energetic flash mob fired up the volunteers for their environmental mission, with participants sparking motivation through lively dancing! While their Wellness Plogging branded vests made them stand out, drawing attention of both residents and tourists to the issue of waste and the Company's eco-project!

Thailand is a beloved vacation destination for millions, and Siberian Wellness corporate volunteers are proud to contribute to keeping it clean!
